Reggio Approach

Reggio inspired: every child is creative and full of potential and has the desire and right to make meaning within a context of rich relationships.  Making meaning by constructing bypotheses, testing, elaborating, refining theirores while exchanging ideas with peers and teachers.  Ard is a major role id expressive language: reflection and communications of ideas to wnhance, represent or show their learning  (100 languages)

Theme: shades of a color

·         Introduce a color

·         Find that color in many shades

·         Show crayons and various names of shades

·         Name the shades of the color chosen

·         Look for red in the environment

·         Explore paints to create environment colors or in nature

·         Eyedropper to measure ad mix paint

·         Work on 2 colors: red and white

·         Use real flowers to find the matches: Painting outside

·         Hypothesis: Painting with lights off, in the wind makes a difference

·         Artist visit: monet

 

For me: today we need to ‘paint the sky’; Matches today but might not tomorrow.  Why?
